In his most recent body of artwork, Intaek|, Kirkpatrick responds to the precarity of the contemporary moment through collaged compositions of magnetic tape recordings, Hi8 video, readymade media, and electronic instruments as a form of psychological social/self-evaluation.

Intaek| mirrors the process of the formal psychological intake, intersplicing the experiences of the clinician and the client, marking moments of intrusive thoughts, distorted logic, countertransference, power imbalance, and fragmented streams of consciousness.

In Intaek| 15 October| 25, the artist deliberates on procreation, engaging the notions of progeny, saviorism, antinatalism, and regret, weighing the closing window and the gift of absence.
