Intaek| responds to the precarity of the contemporary moment through collaged compositions of magnetic tape recordings, Hi8 video, readymade media, and electronic instruments as a form of psychological social/self-evaluation.
Intaek| reflects the destabilizing process of a formal psychological intake, intersplicing the realities of the clinician and the client, marking moments of intrusive thoughts, distorted logic, countertransference, power imbalance, and fragmented streams of consciousness.
In Intaek| 15 October| 25, the artist deliberates on procreation, engaging the notions of progeny, saviorism, antinatalism, and regret, weighing the closing window and the gift of absence.
